Benedictine University, with over 5,000 students at campuses throughout Illinois, is steeped in rich academic and moral tradition.

Founded by the monks of St. Procopius Abbey in 1887, it has expanded with the growth of our nation. It’s campuses in Lisle, Naperville, Bellwood and Springfield, enrich the lives of its students, preparing them for their chance to create a better world, both for themselves, and for all others.

A Catholic university, in the Benedictine tradition, Benedictine prides itself upon a values-centered liberal arts education, and a fine reputation for it’s science programs. In fact, Benedictine offers a stunning range of 47 traditional and adult-accelerated undergraduate, 11 graduate and two doctorate degree programs, at it’s five academic colleges. It’s student body is well-prepared and motivated; it’s average freshman had a 3.36 GPA in high school.

Learning at Benedictine is stimulated by it’s beautiful 108-acre Lisle campus. The fortunate student can thrive there, in a comprehensive learning center with full media library, the cutting-edge science facility, workouts in the athletic center, studying or communing by a lake, social networking in the student center, or enjoying then many events showcased in the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex. Benedictine is highly competitive, ranked in 17 sports.

The graduate division offers the following graduate degrees in the business, education, and health areas: the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in organization development; the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in higher education and organizational change; the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.); the Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.); the Master of Education (M.Ed.); the Master of Science (M.S.) in accountancy, clinical psychology, clinical exercise physiology, management and organizational behavior, management information systems, nutrition and wellness, and science content and process; and the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.).

Adult undergraduate accelerated programs, taught by distinguished faculty members, are available in the following areas: accounting (B.B.A.), business and economics (B.A.), computer information systems (B.S.), computer science (B.S.), finance (B.A.), health administration (B.B.A.), management (B.A.M.), management and organizational behavior (B.B.A.), marketing (B.A.), nursing (B.S.), organizational leadership (B.A.), and psychology (B.A.). The University also offers an Associate of Arts in business administration in an accelerated format.

U.S. News & World Report’s 2009 rankings listed Benedictine University as a Top School in the Midwest and sixth in Illinois for campus diversity!
